Mary Mae Scott Phillips, Fairfield
 
Mary Fae Scott Phillips, 88, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 at
East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. 
Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield. Burial will 
follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 
Wednesday. Mary Fae was born August 27, 1918, to Robert Henry Scott and Clara 
Elizabeth Kelly Scott in Freestone County. She was a member of the Ward 
Prairie Baptist Church where she led singing for 49 years. She is survived by 
her daughter, Wanda Phillips of Fairfield; nephews and neices, Donald Ray 
Scott of Fairfield, Jestine Phillips Calme of Tawakone, Texas, Joyce Phillips
Spradling of Farmers Branch, Texas, Joe Phillips of Fairfield, and J.L. 
Phillips of Fairfield.

Mary Mae (Scott) Phillips

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 26 in Fairfield for Mary Mae Scott 
Phillips, 88, of Fairfield who died Monday, July 23 at East Texas Medical
Center.

Mrs. Phillips was born August 27, 1918 in Freestone county to Robert Henry 
Scott and Clara Elizabeth Kelly Scott. She was a member of Ward Prairie Baptist
Church, where she led singing for 49 years.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. 
Burial was at Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter, Wanda Phillips of Fairfield; and 
nephews and nieces Donald Ray Scott of Fairfield, Jestine Phillips Calme of 
Tawakoni, Joyce Phillips Spradling of Farmers Branch, Joe Phillips of Fairfield
and J.L. Phillips of Fairfield.

Arrangements were made by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield.
