TESSIE JOSEPHINE PHILPOTT


Mrs. Tessie Josephine Philpott of Teague, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 15,
2007, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, Texas. She was 67 years old.

Mrs. Philpott was born on November 10, 1939, in Mexia, Texas. She worked as a 
Pharmacy Technician and at the Texas Department of Corrections, Boyd Unit, in 
Teague, Texas.

Mrs. Philpott was a member of First Baptist Church South Teague, President of 
the Church Usher Board, member of the Senior Mission Society and Sunday school
member.

Funeral services for Mrs. Philpott were held on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 
Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Teague.

Rev. C.J. Wiley, Pastor of First Baptist South Teague and Rev. Anthony 
Thibodeaux, Pastor of Fairfield Baptist Church officiated. Interment followed 
at Salem Cemetery in Teague.

Mrs. Philpott is survived by her husband Claude Philpott of Teague, her son 
Alan Philpott and wife Coleen of San Diego, California, her daughter Patricia 
Lawrence of Teague, her sister Bobbie Sandles and husband Walter of Oakland, 
California, her grandchildren Royce and Ryan Lawrence of Teague and Alexis and 
Adrianna Philpott of San Diego, California.

Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.

Tessie Josephine Philpott

TEAGUE - Mrs. Tessie Josephine Philpott, 67, of Teague, died May 15, 2007, in 
Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center-Waco. She was born in Mexia on November 10, 
1939.

Mrs. Philpott was a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas Department of 
Corrections (Boyd Unit of Freestone County), and was a member of First Baptist
Church-South Teague. She was President of the church’s Usher Board, a member of
the Senior Mission Society, and a Sunday School member.

Survivors are her husband, Claude Philpott of Teague; a son and daughter-in-law,
Alan and Coleen Philpott of San Diego, California; a daughter, Patricia Lawrence
of Teague; a sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Walter Sandles of Oakland, 
California; grandchildren - Royce and Ryan Lawrence of Teague, Alexis and 
Adrianna Philpott of San Diego, California.

Viewing and visitation were scheduled for today (Friday) from 10 a.m. until 7
p.m. (the family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m.) at Moore’s Angelic 
Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, May 19, 2007, at 1 o’clock
in Salem Missionary Baptist Church on Freestone County Road 489. The Rev. C.J. 
Wiley, pastor of First Baptist Church-South Teague, and the Rev. Anthony 
Thibodeaux, pastor of Fairfield Baptist Church, will officiate. Place of 
interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
