Mortuary

       Col. B[enjamin] A[llen] Philpott
  MEXIA, Limestone Co., Tex., Nov. 18 - Col. B. A. Philpott, one of the most 
prominent men in this section of the state, died suddenly yesterday at his home
at Dew, Freestone county, aged 81 years.  He had lived in Freestone county for 
more than forty years, and represented the county for two terms in the 
legislature from 1878 to 1882.
