IRENE LEVELS PINKARD

Funeral services for Irene Levels Pinkard, 86, of Dallas (formerly of Avant/
Salem near Teague) were held on Saturday, March 6 at Golden Gate Funeral 
Home, 4155 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas 75224.

The former Irene Levels Pinkard was born on January 22, 1923, in the Avant 
Community near Teague to Charlie Levels and Callie Philpot Levels. She passed
away on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Mrs. Pinkard attended Freestone County Schools and Booker T. Washington 
School. She married A.J. Pinkard and they moved to Dallas in the early 1950s.
They were self-employed owning a paint business. They retired in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother George Levels; her 
sister Cleastra Levels and her loving husband A.J. Pinkard.

Mrs. Pinkard is survived by her daughters Altha Nette Pinkard Busby and 
Cynthia Pinkard; her brother Ira Levels all of Dallas; her brother Arby L. 
Hambric of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sisters Rosie Lee Haynes and Mildred Busby 
and husband Ernest of Teague; her special niece Louise Tyron of Midland; her
nephews Norman Gibson of Camden, New Jersey; her special friend Ms. Erma 
Turner of Dallas. She had a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.

Golden Gate Funeral Home of Dallas was in charge of the arrangements.
