Gene Austin Pittman

Gene Austin Pittman, 70, of Fairfield passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002 in
Dallas.

Services are pending with Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield.

  Services for Gene Austin Pittman, 70, of Fairfield were held at Capps Memorial 
Chapel in Fairfield with Rev. Bubba Rutherford officiating.
  Mr. Pittman died at Veterans Hospital in Dallas.
  He was born in San Benito to Leslie L. Pittman and La Poloma Jenkins.
  Mr. Pittman was a self employed plumber. He served in the U. S. Army during 
the Korean War as a Sergeant 1st Class. He was a Baptist.
  He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Orand Pittman; son, Larry Wayne 
Pittman; daughters; Audrey Kay Jones, Jean Marie Sawyer and Jackquelyn Haigler; 
brother, Joe Earl Pittman; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
