Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Bruce Rodney Plemons (August 14, 1944 - November 11, 2013) Bruce Rodney Plemons, passed away November 11, 2013 in Fairfield. He was born August 14, 1944 in Mt. Calm, Texas to James and Eunice Plemons. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the coal mine for 21 years with Big Brown and in Jewitt and Freestone County for 8 years. He married Jean Anne French on July 16, 1966 in Teague at the 8th Ave. Baptist Church. He was a member of Heritage Cowboy Church and Fairfield Christian Center. He enjoyed playing steel guitar and bass guitar. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed being with people. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kimberly Plemons. He is survived by wife Jean Anne Plemons of Teague, children Jimmy Plemons and wife Maura of Teague, Traci Plemons Garner of Waco, Erin Plemons Kubala and husband Colby of Waco. Grandchildren Emily Plemons of Conroe, Haley Plemons of Fairfield, Laynee Plemons of Teague, Coy Plemons of Teague. brothers and sisters, Weldon Plemons and wife Mary Jane of Corsicana, Leldon Plemons of Corsicana, James H. Plemons and wife Cheryl of Corsicana, Joycelyn Hassell and husband Sammy, Karen Clute and husband Lowell of Palestine, Johnny Plemons and wife Darlene of Corsicana, Dusty Plemons of Bruceville-Eddy, George Plemons and wife Brenda of Corsicana, Michael Plemons and wife Susie of Cheyanne, Wyoming, Janise Pair and husband Robert of Corsicana. Brother in law Jackie French and wife Kathy of Teague. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Turner, Rev. Bo Davis and Rev. Jimmy Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Honorary pallbearers will be Freestone County Employees.
