Worth, Texas on June 23 1945. At a young age she moved to Freestone County where she stayed with her aunt and uncle Clara & Ben Cyrus to attend the Dogan School. After school she moved back to Dallas and worked at SMU for many years. Later years she was employed with and retired from Teague ISD. In Dallas she attended West Mt. Horeb Baptist Church and later became a member of Faith Temple Ministries in Freestone County under the Late Pastor Ivy Joe Rischer. She then went on to become a faithful member of Word of Christ Ministries under Pastor Anthony Thibodeaux. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter; Mary Simpson, her brother; Jessie Crawford (Jean), and sister: Evelyn Crawford. Her grandchildren; Shronda Elder "Cookie" (Patrick), Yvonne Carter "Neicy" (Bobby), Shalonda Rischer, LaQueila Shed (Chris), Erica Childress (Patrick), and Krystal Rischer, God Daughter; Rose Ross, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and special family friends.
