Leroy Poteet

Leroy Poteet, 85, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in
Corsicana.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne
Mahoney and the Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Interment will follow at
Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Weaver, Kenneth Weaver, Harry Hunt, Darrell Capehart,
Marshall Poteet and Forny Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Westside Baptist Church Men's Bible class.

Mr. Poteet was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Wortham. He was a member of the Masonic
Lodge and Westside Baptist Church. He was a retired supervisor with Oil City
Iron Works.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tommie Laroy Poteet; parents, Roy B. and
Hanna Belle Poteet; and brothers, Wilmer Poteet and Ray Poteet.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby "Doll" Poteet of Corsicana; sons, Robbie
Poteet and wife Janice of Chandler and Eddie Poteet of Austin; sisters,
Katherine Moorehead and husband Troy, Faye Watkins, and Aline Watkins and
husband Earl, all of Corsicana; granddaughters, Kim Ingersoll and husband Bud
of Albuquerque, N.M., Jennifer Hemingway and husband Erik of Allen, Lauren
Poteet of Chandler and Michelle Poteet of Houston; grandson, Shane Poteet of
Austin; and great-grandson, Zachery Ingersoll of Albuquerque, N.M.
