Jonathan Monroe Powell

Funeral services for Jonathan Monroe Powell, 88, of Point Enterprise, will be
conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Porter Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Elder Andrew Stull. Burial will be in Point Enterprise
Cemetery, with friends of the family serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Powell, who died Thursday in Wortham Rehabilitation Center, was born March
30, 1916, in Streetman, and had been a longtime resident of Point Enterprise.
Mr. Powell was a retired employee of Mexia State School.

Family visitation is scheduled for this afternoon from 3 until 6 o'clock at
Porter Funeral Home.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Joe Thomas of Mexia; a son
and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Jan Powell of Fort Worth; five grandchildren
- Mellissa Morris, Charlie Morris, Jr., Melinda Gage, Jonathan Matthew Powell
and Julie Powell, and six great-grandchildren.
