Mrs. Janice (Hilliard) Poynor

Janice Poynor, 68, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Fairfield.  

Mrs. Poynor was born August 8, 1947 in San Angelo to parents Elgie and Flora 
Virginia Millsap Hilliard.  She had been a resident of Fairfield since 2002 
moving from Texas City.  For a number of years prior to living in Texas City she 
lived in California.  Janice and her husband Robert were married on July 18, 
1989 in Texas City.  She was a member of Round Prairie Baptist Church and a 
member of Walk to Emaus.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death 
by one brother.   

Left to always remember her is her husband Robert of Fairfield; three children, 
Robert Linder of San Francisco, CA; Lia Witt of Point Blank, TX; Laurie 
Youngblood and husband Preston of Sante Fe, TX; four grandchildren, Noah Witt; 
Kasey Meier; Katie Frazier, Kaitlyn Valerian; two great-grandchildren, Cole 
Valerian and Kamryn Meier.  She is also survived by five sisters.
