Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Willie Wilson Prestidge WOLFFORTH (Special) - Funeral services for W. W. "Bill" Prestidge, 75, of Wolfforth will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Wolfforth First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark McMillan officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Prestidge died Friday in the University Medical Center following an illness. He was born April 6, 1921, in Keechi, and he graduated from the Corsicana State Home High School. He attended Sam Houston College. He moved from Corsicana to Lubbock County in 1954. He married the former Ruby Moore Billings in 1959 in Fairfield. She died Jan. 14, 1993. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wolfforth. He was a former mayor of Wolfforth and City Council member. He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was wounded in an air raid over Germany while serving as a tail gunner on a bomber. He worked for many years for the Tech Press before he retired. Survivors include three sons, Walter, Tommy and Alton Billings, all of Seagraves; his sister, Esther Mills of Waco; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
