J. M. Prickett dead

J. M. Prickett died at his home in Wortham Tues. morning at 2:00 after being
sick only about eight hours. He was 68 years old and leaves a wife and several
children. He came to Wortham last fall from Teague and engaged in the
shoemaking business and had built up a good trade. During his few months as a
resident of Wortham he made many friends who very sincerely express their
sympathy to the bereaved family. Funeral services were conducted at his home
Thursday morning by Rev. Elmer Crabtree and his body was laid to rest in the
Wortham cemetery.
