Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle 01/07/2010 ANGELA KNIGHT PROBE Graveside services for Mrs. Angela Knight Probe, 46, were held on Friday, January 8, 2010, at Antioch Cemetery in the Luna Community. A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Friendswood Community Church in Friendswood, Texas. Angela was born on March 17, 1963, in Anniston, Alabama. She graduated with the Weaver High School Class of 1981 in Weaver, Alabama and later earned her license to sell real estate. Mrs. Probe resided in Liverpool, Texas but worked in Houston selling real estate. She loved her job and was a member of Madison's Who's Who in Real Estate, the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the Bay Area Women's Council of Realtors. Mrs. Probe enjoyed traveling, camping, and water sports as well as volunteering her time to better her community in Liverpool. She was an avid supporter of the U.S. Military and did volunteer work for the Brazoria Military Wives and Moms. Mrs. Probe was known as the "family organizer" and was always willing to take responsibilities and get things done. She was a member of Friendswood Community Church in Friendswood, Texas. Mrs. Probe passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009, in a motor vehicle accident while on vacation with her family and friends in Costa Rica. She was preceded in death by her mother Garnita Moody Knight and her brother James (Jimmy) Tankersley. Mrs. Probe is survived by her devoted husband of over seventeen years, James (Jim) Steven Probe of Liverpool; her son Lee Medders of Houston; her father Richard L. Knight, Sr. of Blue Mountain, Alabama; her brothers Richard (Rick) L. Knight, Jr. of Blue Mountain, Alabama and Tony Wayne Tankersley and wife Rose of Austin; two nephews; four nieces; her uncle Haynie Knight and wife Darlene of Bend, Oregon; her aunts Lena Newman and husband Conley of Fairfield, Modene Thornton of Fairfield, and Opal Moody of Ringo, Georgia; numerous other relatives and many friends. Injured in the same accident that claimed Mrs. Probe's life was a dear friend of the family Ernesto Carranza, who remains hospitalized in critical condition in Costa Rica. At the family's request, memorials for Mrs. Probe can be sent to fund Mr. Carranza's recovery and care to Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, 1001 FM 2004 Road, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566-4012, Ernesto or Angelita Carranza, Club Acct. #40053-7.
