Fairfield Recorder Thursday February 23, 2006 Lee W. Proctor Lee Wilder (L. W.) Proctor, resident of Mexia, died at Manor Health Care Residence on February 10 at the age of 73. Mr. Proctor was born August 17, 1933 in Mexia and was a U. S. Postal Service worker for more than 30 years. He graduated from Dumbar high school in Mexia and was affiliated with Alexander Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. In 1953, Mr. Proctor enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was honorably discharged in 1954. During that time, Mr. Proctor served in an overseas tour of Germany and received the American Occupation Red Army medal and the National Defense Services medal. Funeral services were held Saturday at Greater Haynes Memorial Church of God in Christ in Mexia. Rev. Cedrick Gamble officiated and interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Proctor is survived by his wife Dorothy L. Proctor of Moreno Valley, CA; sons Stanley Proctor of Denver, CO, Anthony Proctor, Sr. of Moreno Valley, CA and Richard Williams of Houston and daughter Vivecia Proctor of Moreno Valley, CA. Also he is survived by his sister Carolyn Anderson of Mexia; brothers Frank Proctor and wife Shirley of Waco, Ken Proctor and wife Yvonne of Dallas, Sam Proctor and wife Patrice of Mexia, Billy Joe Proctor of Los Angeles, CA, John Proctor of Dallas and Bobby Bradshaw and wife Anita of Las Vegas, Nev.; aunt Vergie Graham of Dallas,; and grandchildren Antony Proctor, Jr., Ashley Proctor, Tori Proctor, Tashya Jones, Sandra Proctor and Keiser Williams. Lastly, Mr. Proctor is survived by two special nephews, Mike Gamble and Rev. Cedrick Gamble; special friend Marshall Britt and other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Casket bearers were Mike Gamble, Michael Gamble, Jr., Jeffrey Proctor, Darius Gamble, Tyran Gamble, Terry Hunter, Chris Proctor, Byron Johnson, Courtney Gamble and Tony Anderson.
