John Archie Pruitt

Died January 3, 1985
 
Teague-Funeral services for John Archie Pruitt, 85, will be held Saturday at 2
in the Lawrence-Ricks Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Royce Sanders will officiate.
Burial will be in Dew Cemetery. Mr. Pruitt, a resident of Teague, died Thursday
in Teague General Hospital. He was born May 3, 1899 in Limestone County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Pruitt of Teague; four sons, Harold
Pruitt and Tony Pruitt, both of Houston, Jerry Pruitt of Teague and Johnny
Teague of Pasadena. Also three daughters, Jewell Padgett and Sandra Brooke,
both of Teague, and Quida Ward of Mexia; 23 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren. Lawrence-Ricks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
[Note: John Archie Pruitt was the son of Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Pruiett born
1867 and died in 1949. Buried in Fairfield Cemetery. His mother was Leckie
Hanie Pruiett born August 13, 1872 Arkansas and died June 30, 1945 Fairfield,
Tx
and buried in Fairfield Cemetery.

His brothers and sisters are:
Levi Malcom Pruitt b. Nov 4, 1890 and died in 1940
James Preston Pruitt Sr.
Lenor Pruitt b. Aug 10, 1893 and died 1971 Freestone Co., Tx and married Elmo
Harris.
