Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle January 10, 2008 edition ROSIE MARIE PRUITT Mrs. Rosie Marie (Pounds) Pruitt, of Buffalo, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2008, in Waco, Texas. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Pruitt was born on February 12, 1926, in Keechi, Texas, to Randolph Benjamin and Nancy Etta Whitley Pounds. She worked as owner/operator of Pruitt’s Dry Cleaners, retired. Funeral services for Mrs. Pruitt were held on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Bethel Baptist Church. Bro. Larry Morris officiated and interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Oakwood, Texas. She is survived by her husband Arthur Lee Pruitt of Buffalo; her son Gene Pruitt and wife Darla of Buffalo; daughter Brenda Kelso and husband Tally of Llano; brother William Randolph Pounds and wife Anna of Arlington; sister Viola Lee of Buffalo; grandsons Tony Kelso and wife Colette, Troy Kelso and wife Gennie, Kevin Kelso and wife Cristy and Gene Pruitt, Jr. and wife Leah and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents; her brother George Robert Pounds and her sister Katie Mae Stone. Pallbearers for Mrs. Pruitt were Tony Kelso, Troy Kelso, Kevin Kelso, Gene Pruitt, Jr., Tommy Davis and Corey Cunningham.
