Pauline (Lenox) Pruitt

Pauline Pruitt, 80, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 in 
Fairfield following a lengthy battle with cancer. Services were held 10:00 a.m. 
Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. 
Interment followed at Wortham Cemetery.

Mrs. Pruitt was born December 10, 1931 in Midway, Texas; to parents James Green 
Lenox and Mary Ann Emert Lenox. She was married for 40 years to Donald Pruitt who 
preceded her in death in 1993. She had been a Freestone County resident since 
1995 and was a member of Round Prairie Baptist

Church. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. In addition to her 
husband she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Olgie, Edwin and Jim 
Lenox; two sisters, Ruth and Kate Lenox; and a granddaughter, April Schmidt.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Francis Schmidt of Fairfield; a 
granddaughter, Megan Schmidt of Conroe; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Bonds, 
Preston Dunbar and Kylie Dunbar all of Conroe; a sister, Peggy Gressett of 
Houston along with numerous nieces and nephews.
