Ethel (Conn) Pruitt

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Pruitt, 83, of Wortham will be held Wednesday
at 10 a.m. in Walker Funeral Chapel in Wortham. The Rev. Bill Roe will
officiate and burial will be in Wortham Cemetery. Mrs. Pruitt died Monday in
the Wortham Hospital, following a long illness. She was a longtime resident of
Wortham, a member of the First Baptist Church of Wortham, and a member of the
Eastern Star. She was born in Hill County on Sept. 1, 1889. Survivors are sons,
Peyton Pruitt of Vernal, Utah, Ronald Pruitt of Longview, Washington and Donald
Pruitt of Ellkhart; two brothers Sam Conn of Mexia and Jack Conn of Wortham; a
sister, Mrs. Sally Lawson of Wortham, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren
and 9 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Walker
Funeral Home in Wortham in charge of arrangements.
