Johnnie W. Pruitt

Houston- Mr. Johnnie W. Pruitt, 80, of Houston passed away March 25. He was
born May 17, 1918, in Wortham, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from
1943-1945 during World War II. He was a member of Lakewood Church and was a
member of the Liberty Masonic Lodge #48 A.F. & A.M. He was employed as a
consultant with Big 6 Drilling Company for about 22 years. He was proceded in
death by his wife Edna Pruitt, in 1996. He is survived by two sons, Larry
Pruitt and Gary Pruitt, both of Houston; one brother, E.B. Pruitt of Midland;
one sister, Althea Horton of Fairfield, Texas; as well as three grandchildren,
John, Steven and Jacob Pruitt; and one great-grandchild, Janick Pruitt.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 31 at Carter Funeral Chapel with
Dr. Luke Ates officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Baytown under
the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Houston.
