Bro. Harold O. Pryor

Graveside services for Bro. Harold O. Pryor, age 78, were held on Sunday, 
October 9, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Glenn Matlock 
and Bro. Paul Pryor officiated.

Visitation was held on Saturday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bro. Pryor passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the Fairfield Nursing 
Rehab Center.

He was born on July 25, 1933 to Frederick Henry and Mary Lillian Pryor in Teague. 
He married Patricia on April 16, 1953 in El Dorado, TX and five years later 
surrendered to Ministry. Bro. Pryor earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Theology and 
Christians Studies and served as Pastor for numerous Baptist Churches in Texas 
and Louisiana before serving in Australia as a Missionary. He returned to Texas 
in 1972 and retired from full time ministry in 1980. Bro. Pryor always enjoyed 
studying and learning new things. In his later years, he enjoyed his early morning 
breakfasts at the Teague Donut Shop which he rarely missed.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Patricia Pryor of Teague; two 
daughters, Mary Teresa (Terri) Pryor of San Angelo and Elizabeth Ann Sypho & 
husband Joe of Teague; two sons, Harold Gregory Pryor & wife Lisa of Tomball and 
Paul Lee Pryor & wife Lou Ann of Freestone; nine grandchildren, Crista Brooner & 
husband Todd, Ryan Sartor & wife DeAnna, Todd Pryor & wife Ashley, Meredith Pryor, 
Lance Pryor & wife Brittany, Lee Pryor, Jeremy Pryor, Anthony Martinez, and 
Alicia Martinez; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
