"Powell Fletcher Willard 

Powell Fletcher Willard, 84, of Dawson, died Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at his
residence.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard, with Chaplain
Walter Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Terry Dickinson, David Dickinson, Tom Devlin, Ken Taylor, Troy
Scott and Douglas R. Scott.

Mr. Willard was born in Fairfield on Oct. 4, 1913. He was raised in Fairfield
and had lived most of his life in Waco and Dawson. He was served as a corporal
in the Army during World War II. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the
Lee-Lockwood Masonic Lodge in Waco.

Mr. Willard is survived by his wife, Alcye Branham Willard; daughter, Bobbie
Jean Hackfeld of McGregor; sisters, Eloise Brackeen and Helen Mayes, both of
Dawson; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
