Mexia Daily News Sep. 9, 2003 Ed Quaca GROESBECK - Funeral services for Edward (Ed) Leroy Quaca, Jr., 57, of Groesbeck, were conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Royce Smith officiated. Burial was in Faulkenberry Cemetery. Mr. Quaca, who died Thursday at his residence, following a sudden illness, was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Middletown, Pa., to Edward Leroy and Betty Gingrich Quaca. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and was married to Diana Shelton on Sept. 14, 1980, in Durant, Oklahoma. Mr. Quaca worked for the Limestone and Freestone counties' Sheriff's Departments, and for the City of Mexia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Quaca, and by a granddaughter, Mikayla Grace Allen. Surviving are his wife, Diana Quaca of Groesbeck; his father, Edward Leroy Quaca of Wellsboro, Pa.; a son, Thomas Edward Quaca of Middletown, Pa.; two daughters, Teri Allen of Donie and Tonya Harris and husband Joey of Mexia; a stepson, Emil Rogers of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandsons - Tom Quaca of Pennsylvania, Jonathan Allen of Donie and Braxton Harris of Mexia; three brothers, Daniel Quaca of Middletown, Pa., Thomas Quaca of Groesbeck and Keith Quaca of Elizabethtown, Pa.; two sisters, Bonnie Mumma of Etters, Pa., and Joni Friday of Wrightsville, Pa.; a half-brother, Leroy Quaca of Pennsylvania; a half-sister, Tara Six of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Dennis Walker, Gene Robinnette, Foy Johnson, Tuk Morgan, Brian Quaca and Robert Noel, Jr.
