Lillie V. (Lynch) Ralston

Funeral services were held Friday in Rockdale for Lillie V. Ralston, 79, of 
Fairfield, formerly of Rockdale, who died August 26 at a Fairfield nursing 
home.

Mrs. Ralston was born December 2, 1926 in the Black Jack community in Burleson
county to Robert Herman Lynch and Lois Velma Key Lynch.

She was a homemaker, and a former hostess for Phillips & Lackey Funeral Home.
She also worked as a manager for Kenwin Dress Shop in Rockdale and W.T. 
Pearson’s Flower Shop.

She enjoyed golf and bowling, and was a member of First Christian Church in 
Rockdale.

She married Johnny Guy Ralston, Jr. on December 24, 1947 in Rockdale.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. at Phillips & Lackey Funeral Home, with Rev.
Don Suits officiating.

Burial was at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Pallbearers were Jeff Ralston,
Matthew Ralston, Bruce Criddle, Alan Criddle, Mike Logan and Ronnie Archer.

Mrs. Ralston is survived by her son, Johnny G. Ralston III of Fairfield; a 
daughter, Janice Brown of Austin; grandchildren Jeff and Matthew Ralston, 
Laurie Bonner and Clayton Hyden; great-grandchildren Sutton Bonner, Emily 
Bonner and Rynna Bonner; A sister, Opal Criddle of Texas City; and a brother, 
Bobby Lynch of Van Vleck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Guy Ralston, in 1970; and a 
brother, Gus Jefferson Lynch.
