Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle October 25, 2007 issue NATHANIAL WAYNE RAY Mr. Nathaniel Wayne Ray passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at his residence in Groesbeck, Texas. He was 44 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Ray were held on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Head Branch Baptist Church in Groesbeck, Texas. Rev. E. Bernard Cashaw, Pastor of Head Branch Baptist Church, officiated and interment was at Shady Grove Cemetery in Doyle, Texas. Mr. Ray’s family include his father, the late Garland Ray, Jr., his mother Rosetta Forge Ray of Groesbeck; his brother Perry Joe Ray of Groesbeck; his sisters Rosie Lee West, Etta Fay Ray, Virginia Davis and Larry, Yvonne Ray, Anzetta Marie Ray all of Groesbeck; Velma Jean Ray Thomas and Michael; Evelyn Norman and Ruby Newton, both of Mexia; his step sisters Gail Hines and Cheryl Ray both of Plainview; his uncles Sherman and Bobby Ray of Plainview and John Earl Forge of Dallas; his aunts Peggy Forge and Fannie B Randall both of Groesbeck; Ruby Fay Ray and Dorothy Kress both of Plainview; his special friend Raphael Brooks (Drick) of Lancaster; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers for Mr. Ray were Waynard Brown, Edward Wiley, Wendell Wiley, Raphael Brooks, Johnny Jackson, Curtis Ray and Roderick Greer. Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
