Reatha (Black) Ray

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Fairfield centenarian Reatha Black Ray 
who died Sunday, April 5, at Fairfield's East Texas Medical Center.

Mrs. Ray was born in Fairfield on Jan. 9, 1909 to Hiram Glass Black and Betty 
Stanley Black.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her children, Lee Roy Ray of Mansfield, and Sue Beasley 
and her husband Kenneth of Teague; six grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and 
15 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at Fairfield's Calvary Baptist 
Church with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating.

Burial followed at Fairfield City Cemetery with her great-grandsons, Brian 
Mathis, Chris Mathis, Paul Clemons, Justin Clemons, Jared Ray, Reece Ray and 
Ethan Beasley serving as pallbearers.

Arrangements were provided by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home of Fairfield.
