Fairfield Recorder - Friday, January 8, 1926 edition DR. JACKSON OF MEXIA IS DEAD Dr. R. B. JACKSON, 66 years old, long a practicing physician of this vicinity, well known mason, Methodist and identified prominently with church fraternal and political life of this area, died of heart failure at his home here Friday afternoon. Dr. JACKSON spent most of the day at his office in downtown, going home Friday afternoon. Wright KINCHLOE, his son-in-law, discovered the dead body of Dr. JACKSON when he went to the house and elicited no response to repeating knocking at the door. He went in and Dr. JACKSON lying across his bed. He had been dead for about two hours when found. The family was away attending a funeral at Hubbard City. Dr. JACKSON was a graduate of Tulane University coming to Mexia in 1895. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Dr.s Rueben and Albert JACKSON of Dallas and daughters, Miss Norine JACKSON and Mrs. Wright KINCHLOE of Mexia. Funeral will be held here Sunday afternoon.
