Nov. 23, 2008 edition Annabelle "Becky" Red Services for Annabelle "Becky" Red, 84, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey and Foster Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hay officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mrs. Red died Saturday at Greenbrier Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 19, 1924 in Palestine to Edward H. and Clara V. Jones Wood. Mrs. Red was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Palestine, the DAR and the Japonica Garden Club. She was self employed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert Winston Red in 1999; two brothers, Fred Wood and William Henry Wood; two sisters, Rena Mae Wood and Virginia Eversole. Mrs. Red is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and John Fowler of Palestine; a sister, Joyce Thorn and husband Tom of Palestine; two grandchildren, Kimberly Fowler, and Beth Leonard and husband Bob; six great grandchildren, Tony Fowler, Veronica Fowler, Anabel Fowler, Daisy Fowler, Hannah Leonard and Sarah Leonard. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Mason, Bill Haney, John Fowler, Bob Leonard, Tom Thorn, Terry Thorn and Steve Thorn.
