Mexia Daily News - Jun. 10, 2005 edition Rosie Lee Dunbar Rice TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Lee Dunbar Rice, 92, of Teague, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in Salem Missionary Baptist Church. The pastor, the Rev. E.O. Riley, will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, under direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. A member of Salem MBC of Teague, she was a former member of the Heroines of Jericho, and had been Housekeeper for the late attorney, W.A. Keils. Mrs. Rice also had been employed by LaRue's Riley Dress Shop, and at Teague Nursing Home. Mrs. Rice, a lifelong resident of Freestone County, was born on Feb. 10, 1913, and died Monday in Hillcrest Medical Center-Waco. Surviving are her children - Mary Frances Simmons and husband Samuel of Los Angeles, California, William D. Rice and wife Jean; Albert L. Rice and wife Lillie Mae, and James E. Rice, all of Waco; a sister, Gladys E. Dickson of Fort Worth; a sister-in-law, Frances Daniels of Teague; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
