Richardson Graveside services were held Saturday for William Richardson of Wortham who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, at St. Catherine's in Waco. Mr. Richardson started his career as a teen in the sheet metal trade and later founded Wortham Air Conditioning. He and his wife, Bobbie, also purchased a hardware store and started Wortham Construction and Supply. Mr. Richardson worked as a contractor on numerous homes and housing developments in the Wortham area. He was also a World War II veteran, a former member of the Wortham city council and served on the board of directors at the First National Bank of Wortham. Mr. Richardson was a member of the Lions Club and served as an elder in the Central Presbyterian Church of Wortham. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Tehuacana Cemetery. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife Bobbie Richardson; son, Gary Richardson and wife Kay May of Arizona; daughters, Paula Rogers and husband Johnny of Forest Glade, Robin Hulsey and husband Jeff of Pflugerville, Kim Johns and husband George of Wortham; grandchildren, Amy Kramer and husband Chris of Virginia, Brandon Richardson of Arkansas, Ryan Hulsey and wife Shannon of Colorado, Sean Richardson of Waco and Allie Johns of Wortham; great- grandchildren, C.J. Kramer, Ashley Kramer and Gavin Richardson; and sister, Emma Grace Moore and husband Dan of Wortham. Arrangements were made by Porter Funeral Home of Mexia.
