E. Richards, was the close of one of the saddest occurrences that has visited this town. Last Friday night she escaped from her attendant at Dr. Moody's private sanitarium in San Antonio, where she was temporarily staying for treatment, and her dead body was found in the San Antonio River. Her body was not recovered until yesterday morning. Mrs. Richards was the daughter of late Dr. Jas. L. Bonner, one of the oldest and best families of the county, and was a member of the M.E. Church here. She had been instrumental, largely, in the erection, after the storm of two years ago, of the new and modern church building here, and beautiful and impressive services were held there by the pastor, Rev. J.E. Russell. She leaves, besides her husband, a little daughter 10 years of age, her mother, and two sisters and brothers, Mrs. W.B. Robinson of Palestine, Mrs. A.D. Anderson of Fairfield and J.A. Bonner of Eureka and W.P. Bonner of Hillsboro, all of whom arrived for the funeral.
