Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle September 27, 2007 edition ELEANOR RIDDLE Funeral services for Eleanor (Adams) Riddle, age 91, of Weatherford, Texas and formerly of Teague, Texas, were conducted on September 24, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Teague. Rev. Jeff Powers officiated and interment was at Mexia Cemetery. Mrs. Riddle died on September 21, 2007, in Weatherford, Texas. She was born in Coolidge, Texas on March 22, 1916, to John Q. Adams and Nellie Adams. Mrs. Riddle lived in Teague for 50 years. She and her husband moved to Amarillo, Texas thirteen years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Teague for fifty years. She loved her church and Sunday class as she loved the Lord. She was a housewife, a loving wife, and mother and loved her grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. She loved people and visiting with everyone. She was loved by so many people. Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 67 years, Rex Riddle, her daughter Barbara Riddle Jordan, her sisters Hazel Smith, Lou Mathis and Faye Jean Suttleworth and her brother Roger Adams. Mrs. Riddle is survived by her children Patsy Rieves and husband Don of Clear Lake, Texas; Rex A. Riddle and wife Marsha of Hammond, Louisiana; Katherine Curry and husband Bobby of Weatherford, Texas and her son-in-law Brown Jordon of Longview, Texas. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Her sister John Nell Robinson of Pasadena, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and friends also survive Mrs. Riddle. Pallbearers for Mrs. Riddle were Jeff Rieves, Steve Rieves, Jay Jordan, Bryan Jordan, Adam Curry and Daniel Rieves. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church in Teague, Texas. Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
