Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder December 09, 2007 Callie Mae Rischer Funeral services will be held Saturday for Mrs. Callie Mae Solomon Rischer, 92, of Fairfield, who died Nov. 30 at Fairview Healthcare Residence. A wake service will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, where funeral services will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. Viewing will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home in Teague. Officiating ministers will be Pastor A.L. Thibodeaux and Rev. W.K. McDonald. Mrs. Rischer was born to Willie Solomon and Elnora Cooper on June 13, 1915 in Freestone county. She became a member of Fairfield Baptist Church at an early age and served the church as an usher, choir member, deaconess and Church Mother. She worked for the Steward family for more than 45 years, as well as the Freeman family, the Looney family, the Harris family and the Bass family, all of Fairfield. Her husband Hubbard Rischer preceded her in death. Survivors include sons Louis Ray Solomon and his friend Mattie of Texarkana and Troy Lee Solomon of Fairfield, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sister in law Inez Rischer Hervey of Ft. Worth, special friend Mrs. Ruth Owens, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Frank Banks, Jr., Billy Joe Jones, Jr., William Young Cooper, Morris Keaton, Ozzie Solomon, Billy Dean Garrett, Wilmer Taylor and Larry Eskin. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Jackson, Darrell McDonald, Derrick Lewis, Michaelaire Washington, Jerod Lynch, Ron Wills, Trey Williams, Terry Hunter, Derrick Morgan, Albert Lynch, deacons of Fairfield Baptist Church and deaconesses of Fairfield Baptist Church. Interment will be at Fairfield Methodist Cemetery.
