Hon. R. M. JOHNSON, one of the state's noted men died at his home in Houston
last Sunday at the age of 76 years. Mr. JOHNSON was editor of the Houston Post
for many years, served a short time by appointment to fill the unexpired term
of Senator BAILEY, served as a member of the democratic National Executive
Committee and also filled other positions of honor.
