Mae Lizzie Butcher Roberson - 1/12/06

Mae Lizzie Butcher Roberson, 88, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, Jan. 7,
2006, at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at M.R. Smith
Parlor for Funerals.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Greater Wilgo Baptist Church with
the Rev. Arthur C. Faulk officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland
Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Barton, John Wayne Hervey, Chester Davis, Anthony
Harrison, Adrian Gooden, Clayton Chapman and Billy Thomas. Honorary pallbearers
will be Christopher Roberson, D.J. Gray, Michael Roberson, Lennis Jones, Darius
Hervey, Donald Jones Jr., Zelmer Knox and Adrian Jones.

Mrs. Roberson was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Freestone County.

Survivors include five sons, Leroy Roberson, Edd Roberson III and wife Gina,
A.B. Roberson and wife Bertha, Charles Roberson and wife Alice, all of
Corsicana, and Lee Roger Roberson and wife Willie Jean of Dallas; three
daughters, Emma Morris and Eddie Mae Knox and husband Zelmer, all of Dallas,
and Dorothy Gray of Corsicana; 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and
four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cordell Butcher, Callie Rouchell
and Febline Demings and husband Harlan, all of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Edna
Hann of Dallas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Roberson Jr.; sons, Adell Powell
and Billy Roberson; and two brothers.
