Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Wood County Democrat newspaper - Mar 3, 1955 issue, page: 1 Frank Lesile Roberts Buried at Sand Springs Tuesday Afternoon Funeral services for Frank Lesile Roberts, well known Quitman farmer, were held at the Mt. Enterprise Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Bro. B. C. Dodd in charge of the services, assisted by Bro. J. C. Pollard. Mr. Roberts died Monday morning at 7:30 in a Mineola hospital from a heart attack. He was born on July 24, 1899 in Streetman, Texas and had lived in Wood County for the past 40 years. He was engaged in the farming business. His sudden death came as a shock to the community. He had been ill for only a few days. Interment was in the Sand Springs cemetery under the direction of the Cain Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. A. Williamson, Floyd McCoy, J. D. Cash, Doyle Starnes, Hob Cash and Clayton Binford. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Frank Lesile Roberts of Quitman; his mother, Mrs. K. P. Roberts, Star Route, Mineola; one son, Morris Roberts of Quitman; two daughters, Miss Joyce Roberts of Galveston and Mrs. James Anthony of Sanger, Texas; one sister, Mrs. J. A. McDade of Quitman; four brothers, Don Roberts of Quitman, Cecil Roberts of Waco, Howard Roberts of Irving, and Dock Roberts of Nacogdoches; and five grandchildren.
