MARY (DUKES) ROBERTS


Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Mary Roberts, 96, of Deanville, formerly of
Groesbeck, were held on Monday, May 21, 2007, at Seale-Round Prairie Cemetery.
Bro. Michael Vestal officiated.

Mrs. Roberts was born on May 17, 1911, in Centerville, Texas to Charles Jackson
Duke and Sarah Alice Scroggins Duke and passed away on May 19, 2007, at her 
residence in Deanville. She had lived for several years near her daughters in 
Caldwell, Texas.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvis Allen 
Roberts in April of 1956, her sons James Albert (Pete), Charles Arnold (Hike),
and Cecil Danver (Hoke), and her grandchildren Terry Lynn and Danny Ray, two 
sisters and 7 brothers.

She is survived by her daughters Jimmie Blackmon of Caldwell and Maxine Roberts
of Caldwell. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren 
and a number of great great grandchildren.

Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
