A Sad Accident

  The Palestine Daily Press of last Tuesday contained a lengthy account of a 
dreadful accident that happened in that City last Monday evening. Collie Robinson, 
the 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Robinson, (formerly of Fairfield) was 
riding his pony in a gallop on the street, when it suddenly turned across the 
street in front of buggy driving (sic) by Dr. McLeod.  In the collision a shaft 
of the buggy struck the little fellow in the body and penetrated his bowels, 
making a dreadful wound of which he died that night. The accident, sudden and 
dreadful as it was, was certainly a shocking blow to the parents and family. 
They will have the deepest sympathy of all their Fairfield friends.  The deceased 
was a grandson of Mrs. Dr. J. I. Bonner, of Fairfield. She left last Tuesday 
morning for Palestine.
