Mexia, Tex., Oct. 12.--Mrs. Elliott ROSS, mother of J. E. and W. G. ROSS of this
county, died at the residence of her son, J. E.ROSS, last night about 7 o'clock. 
Mrs. ROSS was one of the old residents of Freestone county, and a lady much 
esteemed by all who knew her.
