Corsicana Daily Sun - Feb 20, 2005 edition Gladys Erlene (Anderson) Rouse Gladys (Anderson) Rouse Gladys (Anderson) Rouse, 91, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 in Fairfield. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Streetman with Rev. Wayne Mahoney and Rev. Fred Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Birdston Cemetery in Streetman. Pallbearers will be Larry Ivy, Kevin Ivy, Keith Ivy, Tony Willard, Todd Willard and Shannon Rouse. Ms. Rouse was born Nov. 4, 1913 in Streetman to Guy Hampton Anderson and Arra Richmond Anderson. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Streetman where she loved to teach Bible class to children. She sang in the choir, where she sang her heart out in her love for the Lord. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Jose Antonio Navarro Chapter in Corsicana, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Col. Roger Q. Mills Chapter 2466 in Corsicana. She loved genealogy and interviewing older people who remembered things about her family. She was dedicated to her family and to her church. She was preceded in death by husband Frank Rouse; her parents; brothers Ernest and G. R. Anderson; sisters Mattie Stibrich and Marie Ward; and great-grandson Daniel Steely. Survivors include son Frankie Rouse of Corsicana; daughters and sons-in-law Marlene and Raymond Ivy of Fairfield and Marjorie and Dale Willard of North Richland Hills; brothers Robert Anderson of Malakoff and Max Anderson of Hemet, Calif.; sister Edna Hodge of Eureka; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
