Freestone County, Texas Obits Mexia Daily News - October 11, 2006 George "Larry" Rowlett NACOGDOCHES - Funeral services for George "Larry" Rowlett, 62, of Nacogdoches, were held at 2 p.m. Monday October 9, 2006, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Rev. John Wahl officiating. George Rowlett was born January 25, 1944, in Nacogdoches, to Walter Monroe Rowlett and Mary Louise Simmons, and passed away October 7, 2006 ,in Nacogdoches. Mr. Rowlett married Vivian Alexander on November 30, 1963, and she survives him. He was an electrician for Clark Electric and a member of Calvary Temple in Mt. Enterprise. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis. Along with his wife, Mr. Rowlett is survived by his daughter, LaJean Allison and husband Cal of Teague, Texas; brothers, Raymond Rowlett of Nacogdoches, Robert Rowlett of Beaumont, and Danny Rowlett of Nacogdoches; sisters, Louise Odem of New Mexico, Marie Yarbough of Nacogdoches and Gladys Buelerman of Nacogdoches; granddaughters, Gentry Little and husband Andy of Groesbeck, Megan Michalsky of LaGrange, Brittney Michalsky of Teague, Amanda Allison and Kelly Allison, both of Teague; and great-grandson, Cameron Michalsky of Teague. He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Vaughn Rowlett; his parents; and brothers , John B. Rowlett and Charles Rowlett. Pallbearers were Andy Little, Jonthan Alexander, Kevin Alexander, Lloyd Alexander, Jason Rowlett, and Ricky Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Alexander, James Wetterman and Allen Allison.
