Mr. Ruel Wilson Funeral Services Held on Saturday Funeral services for Ruel Wilson, age 84, of Teague, were held on Saturday, December 8, in the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Teague. Mr. Wilson died on Wednesday, December 5, 2001, in the Manor Care Windcrest Nursing Home in San Antonio. Mr. Wilson was born on February 1, 1917, in Mansfield, Texas. He was united in marriage to Clytee Bray on August 18, 1944, and they were married for 56 years. A longtime resident of Teague, Mr. Wilson served as Freestone County School Superintendent for 30 years. He began his teaching career in North Zulch, Texas. He was a member of the Boggy Masonic Lodge # 739 for 55 years. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Teague, he taught the Mustard Seed Sunday School Class at that church for many years. He is survived by his wife, Clytee Wilson of Teague; three sons, Billy Ray Moseley of Pomona, Calif., Jack E. Wilson of McGregor, and James L. Wilson of Galveston; two daughters, Dixie Bennett of Huntsville and Jan Lovett of San Antonio; his twin sister, Ruth Nielson of Dallas and his sister, Eunice Eubanks, also of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Rev. Darrrell Beggs offiiciated at the funeral services. Grandsons served as pallbearers and included Jeremey Ruel Wilson, Paul Elliott Wilson, Ray Harlan, Ryan Wilson Harlan, James Lee Wilson II and Brandon Hearn. Masonic graveside services were conducted at the Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.
