Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thursday May 4, 2006 edition Jack Sanders Funeral services were held for Jack Sanders, 71 of Mexia, Wednesday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Steve Henderson officiating. Interment followed at Fort Parker Memorial Park. Mr. Sanders was born February 4, 1935 in Oletha to Nettie Castillow and Charlie Sanders and died April 24 in Mexia. He owned Sanders and Son Exxon Station on the corner of Milam and McKinney for many years and was a rancher. He was also a member of the National Guard and served in the Army. Mr. Sanders was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He is survived by his children Ricky Sanders and wife Sharon of Mexia, Tamra Scott of Dallas, Angela Bonner of Mexia, Lashawn Sanders of Mexia and Talitha Seale of Mexia; grandchildren Rick, Hallie and Reid Sanders, Spencer and Chad Scott, Dustin and Leanne Bonner, Paige O'Hare, Kelsye Sanders and Brittany and Bryan Beldin and great grandchildren Cayse and Seth. Mr. Sanders is also survived by his mother Nettie Sanders Dick of Mesquite; sisters Ruth Henderson and husband Ray Gene of Mexia, Darlene Morton of Mexia, Marsha Sanders of Mesquite, Martha Marshburn and husband Wayne of Canton, Sue Hendricks and husband Bill of Mesquite and Rhonda Horton and husband Cliff of Mesquite and the mother of his children Charlsye Lynn Adams. He was preceded in death by his father Charlie Sanders; sister Betty Guest and brother-in-law Tubby Morton. Pallbearers were Ricky Sander, Mike Morton, Spike Morton, Russell Marshburn, Huey Henderson, Greg Guest and Steve Henderson.
