Calvin Sanders 
Funeral Services Last Thursday

Funeral services were held in Mexia at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Chapel for 
Calvin W. Sanders, 52, of Groesbeck, at 4 p. m.Thursday, January 9, 1969. 
Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery east of Groesbeck. Mr. Sanders was born
and reared in the Oletha community in eastern Limestone County. He had been 
a resident of Groesbeck for the past twenty or more years and was a painter
by trade. He had laid off work last Wednesday to visit Dr. Rigg's office, as
he was not feeling well. After leaving the doctor's office, he got into his 
parked car near by.  He was discovered slumped in the seat at 10:45. Bruce Vest
who worked at Stanley's Lucky Dollar, where Mrs. Sanders also worked went to 
Dr. Rigg's office to check on Mr. Sanders and made the discovery of his death.
Besides Mrs. Sanders, he is survived byone daughter, Mrs. Weldon (Yvonne) Page
of Groesbeck and by oneson, Jerry Don Sanders of Groesbeck, and by one 
granddaughter, Nancy Louise Page. Pallbearers were Joe Dalton Harris, Jack 
Lovelady, Billy Sandefer, Bruce Vest, Jay Willis and Ray Willis.
