Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Carmie Sartor (Died February 25, 2011) Carmie Sartor Graveside services for Mrs. Carmie Sartor were held on Monday, February 28, 2011, at 2:00p.m. at Union Cemetery near Freestone. Bro. Ken Henbest officiated. Mrs. Sartor passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011, in the Teague Nursing Home. She was born on April 5, 1919 in Freestone, one of ten children of William & Lula Beene, and lived in Freestone County & the Teague area all of her life. She married James Henry Sartor, Sr. and shared over thirty-seven years together until being separated by his death in 1973. Mrs. Sartor loved to paint and sew and enjoyed going dancing. Mrs. Sartor was a Baptist by faith. She is survived by one son, James Henry Sartor, Jr. & wife Gwynne of Teague; two granddaughters, Crista Brooner & husband Todd of Colorado and Shae Sartor of Teague; one grandson, James Ryan Sartor & wife Deanna of Colorado; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Brooner, Christopher Brooner, Erick Brooner, Stryder Sartor, Grace Sartor, and Garrett Sartor; two sisters, May Ward of Wortham and Marilyn Finley of Waco; one brother, William Franklin Beene of Wortham; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
