Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder - Feb. 24, 2011 edition A.G. SARTOR Funeral services were held Tuesday at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague for A.G. Sartor, 95, who died Saturday, Feb. 19 in the Teague Nursing Home, the last living child of eleven children. Interment followed at Union Cemetery near Freestone. Mr. Sartor was born Aug. 16, 1915 to Andrew Gilbert and Rosie Emaline Sartor. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and made his career with the Unites States Postal Service until his retirement. Mr. Sartor was a faithful member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church where he served as pianist for some 73 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; adopted son Tracy; granddaughter-inlaw Leah; great-grandson Jordan Tracy; sister Climmie Barger; and brothers, twin R.E. Berton, Weldon, Emory, Odell, Ewell, Clifton, Alton, and Billy. Mr. Sartor is survived by daughter-in-law Mary Kay Sartor of Teague; grandsons Drew Sartor of SC and Taylor Sartor of Abilene; great-granddaughter Kaylee Sartor of Teague; special nieces and caregivers Janice Turner and husband Donny and Linda Steen and husband Marcus, all of Teague; caregivers Kim and Matt Ballard of Teague; nieces and nephews Sharon Thomas of Whitehouse, Joy Swaim of Arlington, Opal Gibson of Chandler, Mozelle Hamm of Spring, George Sartor of Sugar Land, W.C. Barger of Teague, Homer Barger of Teauge, Herbert Barger of Houston, Orvil Barger of Livinston, Terry Sartor of Teague, Calvin Sartor of Florida, Jerrell Sartor of Teague, Kimble Sartor of Sachse, and Alvis Sartor of California; special friends Jack Dillon, Carl Whitten, and Louis Wall; a host of great, great-great, great-great-great, greatgreat great- great nieces and nephews and friends. Officiating services was Jack McDaniel and Jerry Fulton. Making arrangements was Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
