Sarah Satterwhite 
(Died February 14, 2007) 

Graveside services for Mrs. Sarah Satterwhite were held on Saturday, February 
17, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Mrs. Satterwhite passed 
away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in Mesquite. Mrs. Satterwhite worked as a
nurse for many years in the old Teague General Hospital. She moved to Tyler 
after living in Teague and remained there for about forty-years. The past three 
years she resided in Mesquite. Mrs. Satterwhite was a Baptist by faith. She is 
survived by one son, John Satterwhite of Mesquite; two daughters, Brenda McCoy 
& husband James of Overton, and Shari Carter of Tyler; nine grandchildren; 
thirteen great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria
Jean Satterwhite.

Graveside services for Sarah Satterwhite, 85, Mesquite, formerly of Tyler, were
held Feb. 17, 2007, in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Beggs 
officiating under direction of Bowers Funeral Home, Teague.

Mrs. Satterwhite died Feb. 14, 2007, in Mesquite.

She was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Lometa and lived in Tyler for more than 40 
years prior to moving to Mesquite three years ago. She was a nurse at the old 
Teague General Hospital for many years, and a homemaker. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Emmett Satterwhite, and daughter, Gloria Jean Satterwhite.

Survivors include son, John Satterwhite, Mesquite; daughters, Brenda McCoy, 
Overton, and Shari Carter, Tyler, nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.

SARAH SATTERWHITE

Graveside services for Mrs. Sarah Satterwhite were held on Saturday, February 
17, 2007, at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Darrell Beggs officiated.

Mrs. Satterwhite was born on September 25, 1921, in Lometa, Texas. She passed 
from this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Mesquite, Texas at the age
of 85.

Sarah was a nurse and worked at the old Teague General Hospital for many years.
She was a dedicated homemaker. She moved to Tyler where she remained for over 
forty years before moving to Mesquite for the past three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Satterwhite and her daughter 
Gloria Jean Satterwhite.

She is survived by her son John of Mesquite and her daughters Brenda McCoy and 
husband James of Overton and Shari Carter of Tyler, nine grandchildren and 
thirteen great grandchildren.

Bowers Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
