Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle December 13, 2007 edition DAVID MACK SATTERWHITE Mr. David Mack Satterwhite of Waco passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, after a short battle with cancer. One of David’s final wishes was to have no public funeral or memorial. In making this request, he asked that his family and friends remember him as he was before his illness. David requested that his ashes be scattered over his Granddaddy Christian’s family homestead in rural Freestone County. His wife and daughter have chosen to honor his requests. David was born on September 8, 1944, in Teague, Texas to Buddy and Ruby Satterwhite. He retired after 36 years at Sears Roebuck & Co. He also was a 40 year member of Columbus Avenue Baptist church in Waco where he taught Sunday school and served as an usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew and a sister-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife Weldaleen of Waco; his daughter Candyce Boyer and husband Sean of Mart and his “beloved and precious” granddaughter Gracie. Also surviving are his two brothers, Chelmer and Benny Satterwhite of Teague and their families. Memorials may be made to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church or Hillcrest Community Hospice.
