Myrtle Butts Schmidt

Services for Myrtle Butts Schmidt, 90, of Florida and formerly of Bryan and
Huntsville, are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to the time of
services Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schmidt died Wednesday at Lakeside Terrace Nursing Home in Sarasota, Fla.

She was born in Teague and was a retired homemaker and former secretary at
Texas A&M University. She was a member of the Newcomers Club, the Daughters of
the American Revolution and First United Methodist Church of Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Schmidt.

Survivors include a son, John Schmidt of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law,
Susan and Larry Smart of Englewood, Fla.; a sister, Louise Hines of Natick,
Mass.; and a niece.
