Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Daily Sun January 15, 2008 Alfred Richard Schriefer Alfred Richard Schriefer, 78, of Corsicana, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. He was born in Erie, Pa., on Feb. 4, 1929, to Alfred J. and Irene D. Schriefer. Alfred graduated from the Cathedral Prep School of Erie, Pa., in 1947. From 1950 to 1952 he served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. His career spanned 45 years as a manager for the telephone company. He retired in Fairfield. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Corsicana where he served as lector and on the Parish Advisory Council. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Corley Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Danilo Ramos officiating. Surviving Alfred is his wife of 56 years, Dolores Little Schriefer; son Mark A. Schriefer and children Erin, Eric and Sabrina; son Kurt Schriefer and his wife Robin and children Ashley and Cullen; son Richard Schriefer and his wife Laurel and child Sarah; daughter Amy and her husband David Rose and children Kristen, Amanda, William, and Ali Cunningham, and Jeremy, Travis and Cheyenne Rose; daughter Mary and her husband Johnny Gorden and children Megan and Meredith; brothers-in-law Anthony Little and his wife Sandee and Ronald Little and his wife Kathy, all of Erie, Pa.; and a number of special nieces and nephews, all from Erie, Pa.
