Clydean Scott


HEREFORD - Clydean Scott, 80, died Saturday, June 23, 2007.

Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Avenue Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Jim Bullin, pastor, and chaplain Richard Higley of Vista
Care Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery by Hereford 
Heritage Funeral Home.

Clydean was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Freestone County to Ramos and Bennie Jewel 
Franklin Beck. She married her lifetime soul mate the Rev. Jim Scott on Feb.
11, 1946, in Teague.

Survivors include her husband ; her mother, Bennie Beck of Hereford; two 
daughters, Mary Alexander of Denton and Bernice Scott of Dallas; four sons, 
Jim Scott Jr., Robert Scott and Andy Scott, all of Hereford and Ralph Scott 
of Mesquite; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Olivia
Bradfield of San Francisco, Bennie Jewell Williams of Waco, and Thelma Mercer 
and Gloria Hunter, both of Hereford; and a brother, Dr. Kendell Beck of 
Dallas.

The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St.,
Amarillo TX 79109, or Hereford Senior Community Center, 401 Jack Griffin 
Avenue, Hereford, TX 79045.
